Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg well beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups flour sifted
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter melted
- 1-1/2 tablespoons warm milk
- 1/2 teaspoon warm honey
How to make Honey Cake:
- Using a fork cream butter in mixing bowl then stir in honey and beaten egg.
- Sift together in separate bowl the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- Add this alternately with sour milk to mixture in first bowl.
- Blend everything thoroughly then butter a shallow baking pan.
- Pour cake mixture into pan and bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
- When done remove from pan and allow cooling.
- Blend powdered sugar, warm milk, melted butter and warm honey in a mixing bowl.
- Spread over entire cake when it has completely cooled.
